Nissan model series N10 was marketed as Nissan Cherry, Datsun Cherry or Datsun Pulsar depending on the country. It was the 3rd-generation FWD platform from Nissan, superseding the F10 and E10. N10 was powered by A-series until the last year.
Overview
1979-1982
- 1979-1981 [[Nissan A Engine]
- 1982 Nissan E Engine
Powertrain
where is the transmission? It's under the A-series:
Behind the engine is the flywheel/clutch and a "jackshaft". I hear you can change the clutch without removing the gearbox?
Flywheel
FWD flywheel from E10 Cherry/120A, F10 Cherry/F-II or N10 (310/Pulsar)
The clutch fits down inside the FWD flywheel
FWD flywheel is smaller diameter than RWD flywheel
FWD clutch can be serviced without removing the transmission.
