This is the 1971 Datsun 1200 Coupe that I built. It was significant in that it was built for street and track, emphasis on handling and utilizing an A-Series Engine.
(Car was sold in 2006.)
- ENGINE - A14 GX with twin-Hitachi carburetors, big camshaft, 2" exhaust; 3-row radiator; Optima battery
- TRANS. - Rebuilt 210 5spd; A-Series flywheel CNC'd for SR20 clutch
- SUSPENSION: Front - 280ZX struts; Ilumina-5 inserts; Coil-overs; Ground Control camber plates; Quickor swaybar; TMC adj. end links
Rear - Quickor swaybar; de-arched & stiffer leafs; KYB shocks
- WHEELS & TIRES: 15X6 Panasport w/Yokohama AVS
- BRAKES: Front -280ZX front calipers & rotors; 7/8 brake master w/F10 remote resevoirs; stainless, braided brake lines
Rear - standard 1200 drum
- INTERIOR: Miata seats; Grant GT steering wheel w/anti-theft hub; Autopower rollbar w/ removable cross brace; Autopower 5-point harnesses; factory center console; factory tachometer; factory package tray
- Exterior - front spoiler
