Datsun A-series engines use tubular steel pushrods. Oil does not travel through the pushrods, but are oiled from above by the Rocker arms.

Length
It is important to use the correct length for proper Rocker geometry. If the cylinder head is skimmed beyond the service limit, or the block deck is cut down, custom push rods are needed.
- 141.5 mm: A10
- 152 mm: short-deck engines (A12, A12A, and 1980 A13)
- ~167 mm: tall-deck engines (A14, A15, and 1974 A13)
Part Numbers
- 13238-H1000 ROD-push A12
- 13238-H1001 ROD-push A12 from 7110, also 1980-1982 A13
Both sets interchange with each other as a set.
Tall-block engines use a different length:
- 13238-H6201 ROD-push A14, A15
- Datrats - Custom pushrods made to length from VW pushrods and using the A-series cup. They sit the turned down cup shaft on a ledge in the alloy. Custom made to your length and cheap.
