All A series engine blocks, from the 7/73, were modified with a different method of passing oil from the block to the head for rocker shaft oiling, the distributer moved back, both engine mount brackets moved back 40mm and the altenator swapped from a low left position to a high right one. This was done to make room for an airconditioning compressor mounting point in the former alternator mounting area.
