Starting in July 1972, fire retardent material were fitted to meet FMVSS, initially only available in Beige or Blue. As a consequence, from July to December 1972, black was not available. The new black seats were available Januay 1973.

Coupe

Coupe back seat has a hinge and folds down. They have a central rotating lock handle for the folding seat back. The cloth pattern is cut different, on a bias, and matches the coupe front Seats. The material and cloth differs from Deluxe and GL/GX.
