Cigarette Lighter, now useful for 12V accessories power. It is on a 15 AMP fuse, so can power a 250 watt inverter.

Overview

Original 1200 style

Middle element is for early Datsun 1200, outer for late 1200 pickup

Lighter body fits into Dash panel and the threaded portion clamps it tight to the panel.

The ground is provided by the metal contact of body with Dash.

Wiring

The Cigarette Lighter has a single wire connection, a Blue (L) wire that comes out of the middle of the instrument panel wiring harness. It is grounded through the metal frame of the dash.

L - Blue wire +12V (round bullet connector)
Not the longer LW (Blue/White stripe) which is adjacent

Since it is powered directly through the Fuse Box, the lighter socket works even when the key it out of the ignition.
