Facelift Dash

For 1972, the 1200 underwent a minor change. A new dash was fitted to all 1972 Sedan/Van/Coupe.

The photo above may be an altered dash. It is somewhat common for dashes to have been mixed-and-matched over the last 4 decades.

The PB110 (1400) and the B110 (1200) appear to use the same dashes.

In some photos they appear different, because the "hump" goes towards the driver (it does not rise above above the flat plane of the dash) -- so it depends on the angle of the camera.

Or maybe they are different:

* The 1972 B110 dash pad appears to have a single "hump" along the top edge shading the instrument cluster
* The PB110 dash pad may have an additional "hump" over the glovebox door for a more symmetrical look

New podded instrument panels were used starting January 1972 on regular Datsun 1200 B110, as well as with Sunny Excellent 1400 (PB110), as can be seen here:

Instrument Panel

Of the Instrument Panel, only the Dash Pad and Glovebox Lid differ from original B110 versions. The panel itself (metal frame) is the same.

Meter

Virtually all the parts of the meter - from the cluster lid to individual gauges and small parts - differ from the original B110 meter parts.
