Fullboost coverage of Heathcote Park Rev Head Rubber Fest Day 1 March 15th, 2003 -- Frank Cannistra was keen to see his Datsun 1200 Ute break into the un-tubbed Rotary top 10. The Friday test n tune saw Frank run a P.B of 9.61 at 140mph with a scorching 1.34 60ft time, enough to just squeeze him into tenth position. Frank then qualified with a 9.68 at 140mph in the Saturday qualifying session. We had closer look at the 1200, better known as ‘MRHELI’ and were especially interested in the water/air intercooler setup on the car. The charge cooler is mounted under the dash in the glove box area with water cooled via an ice filled reservoir in the back. A pump circulates the water to the cooler and works quite efficiently according the Frank.
