Datsun 1200 Sedans were fitted with a stainless metal grille. 1200 Pickups from 1971-1977 use this too. The 1972 JDM facelift introduced a new grille, but it too was different from the plastic Coupe grille.

Fitting to Others

Fitting Sedan grille is done in Japan to nearly all Datsun 1200 trucks (change from Coupe-type grille to Sedan grille). Also you can fit it to a Coupe.

  1. Fit one L-shaped bracket to center top of front body

  2. Drill four holes in radiator support
  3. Fit two thin brackets to back of sedan grille

  4. Screw grille with sheet loops to front of car
  5. Fit the headlight surrounds
    coupe and late ute are missing the outer bracket:

    I believe all core supports have the inner two eyebrow mount holes, though you may need to add the little square screw hole wedgies:

1972 Minor Facelift

The 1972 JDM facelift introduced a new grille for sedans.
