I know the performance advantage here, but I still can't get used to the look.
So, who is going to be the first to put a tray sized intercooler out back?

I can't stand that look either. I always thought modifying cars was to make them perform and look better. Whenever I see these stupid Mack truck size intercoolers hanging out the front, I always wonder how long it will take for rocks to puncture the core. And can someone tell these guys that black surfaces are much more efficient at emitting heat.

I agree as well, massive I/C's hanging out the front don't look to good,
To me it's people that want to go HEY I'M TURBO'D COME STEAL ME.

I have my intercooler hidden and even painted black, so it's completely invisible but still does the job.

Cheers
damo

I agree too, my cooler is stealthy. It helps surprise many drivers while keeping a low profile

That I/C is a great traget for any stones tossed up by cars or trucks. Sure spoils the look at the front.....but that's just my opinion.

I am just guessing but I think it will be found that Datsun1200.com member NYS has recently purchased this ute and it is the vehicle refered to in a few recent threads.
