In my opinion, it looks like you have outlined two racing stripes. Now just fill them in black and you're done.

the lines looks good it makes me think im looking at an old falcon or.. something. kinda retro so it suits the look of the 1200.
the lights though look a bit funny. since theyre round why not get a 180B grille and have 1600 style headlights. ive just gotten back from a country trip and lots of cars have extra spotlights all over the front of the car and it seems when they are below the line of the normal headlights, square ones suit more. just my opinion!
