Cheers for posting so fast Freak.

I don't have a head here to measure, they're all at the workshop.
But it looks to me like my theory is right.
GX heads have taller ports.
I'll check tommorow.

D/Man was telling me that factory nissan competition heads have a raised section above the intake ports, under the rocker cover.
(To allow for more porting???????)

Guess what Blair? That head you have is a GX, the same as mine. Your head and my head are the same. You can post it if you like, but it doesn't have the part I was refering to.

I measured an a15 head today. The ports are only 35mmish.
This confirms what I thought.
Only the gx motors had twin SUs yeah?

A14Force above is a pic posted by Feral of his A13 race head. Sounds like what Dodgeman was describing to you. From the sounds of it these are very rare.

Yes, thats the head that i refered to. I have seen it in the flesh & it's a thing of absolute beauty. I believe that one of these will occasionally turn up on Yahoo auctions, but i think that you will need the proverbial truckload of cash to buy it.

Here's my Head and looking at it now I do think that it's a GX head, 39 mm inlet ports.
