Did it draw through both throats of the Weber, or just one?
A friend built a Holden van showcar back when they were all the go. [1970's] It had a 202 six with this same setup & it sucked through one throat only. Went quite well too.

Both throats worked all the time - on a cold night during a quick fang up to Mount Lofty, I'd pop the bonnet and the whole manifold would be glowing red hot and the weber adaptor would be covered in ice...

I miss that car...

Yes, I saw the other photo's & I can now see how you had it setup.

With a turbo, you get a nice steady, pulse free flow on the suction side & carbs will flow, & mix, much better this way than with pulse flow that you get with one throat per cylinder. No spitback, just a constant stream of air & all of it flowing in one direction all the time.

mmmm very nice, what boost were you running and howd the l20b hold up, stock internals or fancy? very interested!

Ya - and standard brakes made for brown undies You might remember that Adam or was that Charles?

Boost was 7psi and the L20 was stock as a rock but strong - it came with a copper head gasket but when I rebuilt the motor (was DOA when I bought it) I didn't put it back in...

I regret sekking the car to this day - I sold it for $3000 (interior was smick and body was above average) with a rebuilt motor 5000k old, rebuilt turbo.... and bought a bog stock RX3 sedan


About a year later it was in the Trading Post again for $2900 but I didn't have the cash then (just put a 12A turbo in the RX3)

I have read of l20 engines putting out 200kw at the wheels
it had :-
forged pistions(nothing else changed internally)
mechanical injection
locked distributor
an running on on methenol at 40PSI
