I was playing about with my new copy of 3D Studio MAX and thought I might do something constructive...

seeing as you made it 3d, i wonder if its possible to have it rotating, as in the whole car spinning around, and have that for your desktop. That would be REALLY sweet...

I've had a desktop before that had water on it, and the water shimmered...

just an idea.

A great masterpiece and you chose the best of the datsuns after iits daddy where it gets its lines from the handmade s10 sylvia.
You have a great eye for detail and saying that is an understatement. Only those with a kb10 can appreciate its simple and genial lines. As for the s10 sylvia few have the chance.
Now if nissan could maks way your 3d in exact the same way with the latest 2ltr and slightly wider track and then Id buy 2 or 10 of them new.

Making it spin around would be possible, however, at this stage I haven't finished modelling the front end (grille, headlights)...

We'll see how I go - the idea was to have 2 side by side, one front view, one rear view (kinda like my avatar).

Now I gotta find some more time...

Daveman, yep that's an FJ (the same is in the ute aswell). It's from my mate's Sunny race car.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys - it definately makes me wanna do more!

TC

BTW - D, did you see the S10 Sylvia that went on ebay last week? Some dude got it for $7000. I don't have the link for it anymore though...

great! otherwise you'd get a few pics like this, and it hardly seems worth the effort of making it 3d...
is there any other uses for images like this other than games/simulators???

first time i saw this thread, i thought it was another version of this: 3d ute

LOL... cheap imitations...

Yep - my Windows desktop at home and at work, to keep my interest levels up in this cool hobby (when I'm not working on my real coupe that is..) and the original purpose of this image was to demo to a mate who's learning the program what the rendering software was capable of...

Don't make me start spewing out 3D jargon...

BTW - It took me a whiole day to do this (home from work sick and couldn't sleep )

Nissan EV and Renault Ev departments wake up and make these brand new as the Nissan 1000 or 1000A (1000 amps) EV (electric vehicle) versions with 1000 amps of torque and 5 min re-chargeable 200klm range lithium nanophosphate batteries and easy to mould tough recycable poly-propelene panels and chassis tub. Do as youve done in the 60s by introducing new technology models for the future with cool retro lines from here. Not listening? you will lose

 Re: 3D 1000 Coupe
good effort especially if you did it all yourself. Need to find a good racing game on PC that allows you to modify scripts and then you could put this into the game and we could roar around in 1000s and 1200s. It'd be sweet

That's awesome!

Can you email me a bigger copy if you've got one? Want to use it as a desktop if that's okay.

 Re: 3D 1000 Coupe
I did it all, completely from scratch.

Speaking of games - I posted it ages ago - but I've done a couple of models for GTA3 and GTA:Vice City - a 1200 ute and a 120Y coupe.
Check them here:

http://members.iinet.net.au/~tnpshow/

This KB10 was intended to be a game model too, but I went a little overboard on it - you can still see some rough lines where it was converted from low detail....

Thanks for the feedback!

I really like the positioning of the mirror in the pactory optional position on the door.
Thats where mine are going & i'm even more convinced now that this is the right place to mount them
