mine looked exactly the same except it didnt spread all the way down. I just cut it all out and welded a new piece in.

plans for the sedan this year are for it to become rust and bog free and maybe new paint all over if i can stretch it that far ...
first step, and biggest patch up, happened while i was away at xmas.
thanks to coup1200 for the donor wheel arch and a local restoration panel shop for the work

You have the right idea there Boof. A top quality, straight & rust free body is the most valuable part of the whole car. I hope that you don't find any unpleasant surprises during your repair efforts, more power to ya.

Re: rust - before and after
thanks guys
the guy who did the work had a good look over the car during the week he had it, and reckons thats the worst of it, few little bubbles here and there, doors and in the front guards. hopefully get myself some new guards and a bonnet in the next couple months along with a weekend trip to sunny adelaide then a bit of a pull apart and so on ........

sometimes it all seems never ending .... the suspension .... the motor .... the gearbox .... the exhaust .... the interior .... but what else would i spend every second cent i earn on ???
Gotta keep em rollin'
