this lady had drums all round.... SO... obviously that had to make way for something beter, and I thought it to be best to go as big as I can go.... VW Caravelle vented disks to be exact. Needless to point that the std 13" rims don't fit so lekker any more  :)

well, the disk in question as baught from the parts store was about 10mm to big to fit into a 14" rim, wich was what I was going to be using, so I mashined it down. The calipers are your std floating single pot variety, as from any Toyota late model that runs vented disks, in my case, the Camry. getting the calippers to fit was the hard part, but not that bad.

You will also need to drill holes for the 4 studs, as the disk has 5 holes, fortunately one of the existing holes can be used as it is on the same PCD. I had to spces the rim quite a bit, in order to clear the shock, as can be seen.

I'm not running a booster, so the brakes are a tad bit hard.... but they are there with all the required force when you step on it.....Good brakes to me is way more important than a fast engine.
