Cool truck, what size and width your wheels are, and what tires are those? look good.
Looks like it sticks at cornering.
Jaime.

 Re: My truck
I'd love to take it to the states but it's not old enough... gotta be 25 years I think. Oh well... I'm trying to go to europe for my next tour though... so that shouldn't be a problem for taking it with.

The wheels are 13X7.5 and 13X8 with 175/60s stretched on 'em. I'll probably be getting some flares and some watanabes.

I've just put the front bumper back on... I don't know why the previous owner took it off. It's popular in mainland Japan to do that for some reason. Right now the engine is stock. It's got a carbon fiber motorcycle muffler on 2" exhaust. but it's really clean and a good starting point.

I plan on putting an older grille in (got it already just need the headlight brackets) and the stock front roll pan with a chin spoiler. I'll also be cutting the bed lip off and re smooting the tailgate (previous owner did a crappy job). Haven't decided on a color but probably a brighter white.

Cool truck. My brother has a 1200 truck and changed the front grille and lamps to the older round lamp type, looks better I think. Your wheel set up is cool, I have 13X8's with 215/50/13's, work excelent. About the bumper, in my case, I took the bumpers of, I think it looks more racy, at least on certain models. I took the bumpers of my 610(180B) and it looks much better, I think it does, just a matter of personal taste. The only thing is that I have to park my car always as first one on a block, or by itself, because, otherwise, I would end up with a license plate up the radiator. Extra carefull when choosing parking spots.
Is there performance parts for A series engines available in Japan? do you see older Datsuns in Japan? like the 1200, the 610, the 710, the B210, etc?

Well, with no front bumper, anybody parking in front of your bumperless car, specially women (hit talks) will back up upon my bumperless untill "BANG" ...that is as far as I can go!!!

 Re: My truck
There's tons of A series parts available. They still made these trucks till '94 (I've heard possibly '95) and people hop them up a lot. Most were used as cheap company vehicles however. I live on a tiny island with lots of rust so there aren't that many older datsuns here, but here's a link to some pics I took at a car show a couple of weeks ago with some really nice cars:

Just scroll down on the right side to car show link. Also you can click on rides on the left then click on Josh's sil80 to see my other car.

 Re: My truck
Hy. Did the last ones come with the A15? or is it the A12 only? What about factory EFI, is there anything like FI for the A series?
I have a truck, and also a B210 with a A15 engine, so I am interested in what there is available for the A series engines.
Thanks for your tip on the site, I am checking it out.
Jaime.

 Re: My truck
Nope they still had carb A12s till the last model. I hear the newer blocks are crap too 'cause they've got cylinder walls that are too thin to bore up safely.

Haven't seen any EFI engines, however I'm very new to these cars so that doesn't mean the combination doesn't exist.
