The radio was optional on the Deluxe Sedan. Picture also shows the heating/ventilation controls.

Show me a bloke that doesn't know to pull the knob for fan function, & i'l show a bloke that didn't read the owners manual. {yes, i have original owners manuals for All my cars going back to the 1919 model]

The radio was "designed" for the domestic Jap market as it is a RHD model. Why?
The On/ Off switch & volume control is on the right side, nearest the [Japanese] driver.

Does she work? Cause you know I'll give her a good home if you want to upgrade.

Our (AUST RHD) heater demister doesn't say "fan - pull" apparently we know how to "pull" already. Ours just says "Fan".

Someone in the USA must have had an accident, he wasn't advised to pull the knob to activitate the fan demister, had an accident, and sued Nissan. Just joking, but I still wonder why?

You're exactly right Chris. I spent some time moving the knob w/out pulling for the fan. I'd like to think it was more of a guy not asking directions thing. But you're right about the sue someone BS of the States.
