The photo is from Yahoo Auctions. Some Japanese fella is selling the rims there.

 Re: Just Great
it has been so long since i ordered them because they actualy have to make the castings before the can make them and i forgot the actual price. I have to ring them tomorrow so i will get a price for you. I will be picking them up from maddat so there will be no postage i think they may have been around $170 a rim for 15x6"

Panasport ... imitator

When I was in Japan, one of the guys at parts store asked me if we were able to get Watanabe wheels in USA. I wondered if he asked because they are getting rare in Japan, or just curious if we have "the good stuff" here. Anyways, the legend of Watanabe continues ...

 Re: panasport ... imitator?
were panasports even around in the early 70's when watanabes came out?

one could argue that any of these style wheels are imitators of the original british minilites

rb20, it doesn't sound like you're getting watanabes

These Yahoo Auctions are Japanese & are like ebay auctions here. The seller is Japanese because he was born there, & still lives there. It is a local Jap spec car. Check out the front mounted mirrors which are a no-no here in this model.
They don't usually include sellers names or phone numbers in the auction details.
