The cost of the brakes, tyres and suspension on this Monaro would probably pay for my car. The brakes are absolutely huge and pull up this heavy car incredibly well.

Hi Andrew
I pulled quite a few car lengths on him down the main straight but once we got into the heavy braking areas he was able to catch me up. The brakes, suspension and tyres on the Monaro would pay for my entire car. It's a well sorted thing and he's a very good steerer. We had a great dice for 4 laps but I was able to stay in front......just.

The next session was a different story however as I just couldn't stay with him. I need to sort my suspension and braking issues. With my previous motor they weren't a problem but now the extra speed I am carrying down the straights and into the corners has shown up deficiencies in these areas.

The most satisfying thing for me yesterday was passing an R32 GTR and a modified F6 Typhoon down the main straight.

Looks good matty!.... So whats your plans on the changes your planning to make on the suspension?? Hows the rear with the ute around QR?.....

Sounds like some bigger brake upgrades and the Manaro wont be getting close again

I'm really not sure yet to be honest. I will have a chat to my suspension guy shortly and see what suggestions he can come up with. Hopefully it will be as simple as a change in alignment, shock absorber adjustment (I tried going softer on the weekend for the final run), sway bar change or something similar.

The rear end is fine. I just need to find some more front end grip at the turn in point.

With the brakes I am going to try a larger master cylinder and fit some cold air ducting. The new front brake pads were actually very good but the pedal is quite soft so I'm not exactly filled with confidence meaning I am braking earlier than I would like to just to ensure I am able to wash off enough speed.
