Just can't stay away Joined: 2002/8/14 From: Wanganui, New Zealand Posts: 95	Re: Nelson Rally, NZ, Sept 2002 We lost 5 minutes in the first stage with faulty main battery earth strap...the car cut out completely about 1.5 kms from the start! Once we found the problem we were away. We then had problems catching cars and not being able to get past then to top it off, 3 punctures in 3 stages! We ended up 1st in class, 3rd 2WD (D class) and 18th O/A so we were lucky considering the time lost. The roads were REALLY wet and slippery this year and a bit rough in places but as usual a great event. Deane Buist was flying in his Corolla 2.3? and finished 4th O/A....an awesome drive again.
