Not sure, I haven't been that high yet. It pulls well past 9000 apparently.

I'm not game enough to try it out though.....not yet anyway.

Arent the top 2nd and 3rd main arms uneven in material removed?
The counterweights and rest looks good.

I'm not sure what the main arms are D?

Just in the process of reducing comp-ratio (don't sell e85 anymore which is sad) and running some bike carbs whilst I re-build the 45 Webers.

Yeah it certainly looks uneven doesn't it?

The primary objective was to lighten so I suppose the easiest parts were removed first.

Interesting stuff though.

I'll certainly have a look at it when I next have the engine apart, the motor was a proven performer though and made the 100hp atw mark before any of the major port-work was done. I'd like to see a bit more out of it with a range of experiments of differing carburetors and manifolds. I might put it on the build thread.

Basically I have three types of carburettors:

1: Big 45s with trumpets on a manifold that draws down on an angle into the combustion chambers.

2: Mikuni PHH 40's on a bpojects manifold which draws a direct side-draught into the combustion chamber, small trumpets.

3: Quad Keihin motorcycle carbs with loooong runners and small trumpets.


If I can get a good gig on the dyno I'll post the results of all three.
