If I remember rightly, La Jolla is pronounced La Hoya & it's a suburb of LA?

Yes in spanish, the double-L is pronounced "Y". La Jolla is famous for its beach-cove, and is an upscale tourist resort.

I picture this coupe with surfboards on top

Funny, even though I am more than a 1,000 miles north, close to the Canadian boder, there are many spanish names here. The spaniards were the first europeans to claim and name this area. Apparently however they only occupied Oregon Territory for a couple of months. Maybe they didn't like the rain...
