This is the other one's brother's car.
FJ20DET and a holden Trimatic gearbox....
They were both pretty good drivers from what I saw on the day.

These cars were at the 4 and rotary nationals when it was held in Goulburn

FJ's from factory all had a lean (from memory) like Z18's & L-series etc, i think its because the intake manifold needs to clear the brake booster, I remember a conversion the now defunct Datspeed did in a 180B SSS where the engine sat on such an angle the intake manifold ( the long skyline manifold ) nearly hit the bonnet

This car is currently down at Mood Motorsports in Padstow Sydney getting tubbed, no floor and chopped up back guards, Darren (mood) said he was a bit cautious about chopping up such a straight datto. The car is owned by the guy that had the ex Top 10 fastest WRX "MCCRAE" (on the plate)

Do all FJs sit not-level? Or only when put in 1200s? The CA18 installs look much straighter.

You will find that it has been leaned over to allow for the brakes to still be installed

Hey Lobster I thought this one had a ford C4 box!

For years these two Italian Blokes always tried to race my mates! The utes both had Blowthrough carbie turbos on A15's and so did both my mates 1200 sedans but these guys could never beat them!
These guys even tried EFI setups on them but still couldn't win!( Don't know why but!
I guess they were doing something wrong with the engines!)
And now or atleast back round when you took the pics they changed to FJ's!
I'm pretty sure they would win now!

hey ddgonzal the FJ20 doesnt sit flat because they dont fit into 1200 engine bays with out major work done. i think by memory he had to move the fife wall bac 50mm adn over to the left 50mm just to bet it in there.

Thanks! I forgot about the brake cylinder being on that side. The FJ20 sounds like a tight fit.

Might have been a ford box. I am just going form memory and theis was like 3 years ago or something... THink that there was a write up of them both in Fast Fours or soething but I ca't remember.
Aso, aren't Fj's meant to be on a slant anyway? Also again, not sure...
