that's them Heath. Both stunningly quick cars and very well driven. Both class record holders by a margin of seconds over anyone else in their classes!
Andrew, the 2nd gear starts are definitely the way to go - thanks for the tip! I think there's still room for improvement on those starts yet too.
Yep, I bogged it down off the line on that 3rd run and then got it very sideways out of turn 1 with the back off in the grass, and was very slow up the first hill as a result.
I still think there may be some time to make up in the 3rd sector on the run to the finish line, and I might try 2nd gear again in the corner in the 2nd sector. 3rd is a little low in the revs there, but 2nd is very easy to bag them up and loose alot of time.
Next time at Mt Cotton is the Australian Hillclimb Championships in November. Thers's a practice day and 2 days of competition, so hopefully the track will get fast with alot of rubber down on it from all those openwheelers. I doubt I'll be too competitive in Sport Sedans at the AHC, but it will be a good chance to run a 45. Michael Collins' 43 sec WRX will probably be running in my class then, and I'd expect a couple of quick interstate Sport Sedans to show up too. hmmm, maybe I should get some slicks...
