yet another 1200 sold for an R32

Quote:

Datsun 1200 Sr20det Powered Race Car - $7500 (dublin / pleasanton / livermore)

Date: 2005-11-07, 7:22PM PST

What i have bought last 8 months and installed. Into the race shell. This car has only seen 2 day event autocross, 1 thunder hill event and 1 event at sac raceway. thats it. I also dont have a trailer anymore thats another reason why i havnt taken it to any other events lately.

Pictures can be seen at http://photobucket.com/albums/y111/datsunka24/

i have put some bigger meats on back when i went drag racing. 22x10x13

sr20det red top 2400
greddy spec-v fmic 700
hks bov 200
740 nismo inj. 500
enthalpy ecu tune 500
2871r .86 turbo 1200
10 psi wastegate 80
hks evc 4 boost controller 200
custum 2.5 stainless downpipe 160
twin 10 inch electric fans 100
inline hp fuel pump 100
harness work 200
autometer boost gauge 30
misc intercooler pipe welds 100
misc couplers for 300zx maf 60
300zx maf Referbished 100
maf adapter 30
driveline sr to rx7 rear end 250

total 6910 without all work done to the race car.

specs
tilton clutch master and brake master inside car.
custom dash with switches to operat everything.
83 rx7 front struts and brakes with adjustable coilovers in front.
13x8 panasports in front.
13x10 custom 2 piece wheels in rear.
83 rear disc LSD 4:11 Rear end.
4 Link rear suspension.
The whole underside of car is done with sheet metal to give it no wind drag.
has a race seat and 4 point racing harness.
Car is tube chasis from firewall back with a full cage that ties into fron struts.
fiberglass fron fenders, all lexan windows all the way around. rear qtr panels are fiberglass.
2 drive line loops. huge transmission tunnel.
Extra set of 13x10 wheels that match the rear wheels.
Extra hood and trunk lid.
this car is REALLY REALLY LOW.

This car is insanely fast, at 19 psi i dyno'd 348 to rear wheels. i know it can be better. i had the maf to close to the turbo at that time. with greddy intake, hks cams, and better flowing turbo manifold people are getting 410 to wheels with my same setup.

This car weight in at 1675 at sac raceway. do the math i have basically 1 hp for every 5 lbs. this means its a 10 second potential car with the right launch and tire size. The only reason im selling this beast is to fund my r32 gtr purchase. This car has no title. was originally a nevada car. its strictly race car now. it could be made to go on street but i wouldn't suggest it. This car was originally built for autox, and hill climbs. hold records on a few tracks. This car was at mt shasta 2005 all datsun meet and would bearly keep it on track due to traction issues and the fact that the course is known to work better with street tires, due to poor condition of the asphalt. I also attended thunderhill but got a hole in my radiator hose after 2 20 minute sessions. it was 110 that day and i only ran car at 10 psi. this is a fun little car but my dream car has always been a skyline gtr. im probably leaving out some stuff.

please dont waste my time serious callers only. thanks

bloody good. Not ideal for hillclimbing with the intercooler way out there though! That'll get expensive very quickly...

Out with the Mazda engine, in with Nissan's top engine, the mighty SR20DET. I like it.

Re: sr20det Powered 71 Datsun Coupe
id say the reason for the number on the car would be to show what the boost level is! love the intercooler piping! to hell with the lights I say, if you can see where your going then your not goin fast enough
