 Re: strut and brake 1
Some one will correct me if wrong but I'm pretty sure all the 1200 & 120Y use the same front springs just on different struts

B110 and B210 use different springs. See the chart about halfway down the Suspension & Brakes article:Quote:
B110
Spring coil outer diameter: 110mm (4.33 in)
Spring free length: 338mm +- 10

1977 US B210
Spring coil outer diameter: 100mm (3.94 in)
Spring free length: 375mm (388 w/AC)

This is the small "square" brake pads that the 1971-1973 1200 uses. The newer B210s and B310 (1975-up) have a wider "rectangular" pad of almost exactly the same design. Or am I looking at this wrong?

 Re: strut and brake 1
it could be either, as the round headlight stanza and the sunny struts are the same

they are definately not the "good" stanza struts with girlock calipers and bigger discs

Anyone have a picture of the Girlocks?

All the US B310s got the regular Nissan brakes as in this picture:

b310 strut

However, we got the bigger brake pads.

 Re: strut and brake 1
stanza 1200 and sunny all have the same spring diameter

problem may be in length though, i know the 1200 strut is shorter than stanza (square headlight) but i dont know where yours fit in, i would pressume they are the same as stanza (square headlight) but not sure

take an old pad to a brake specialist & ask nicely if you can look through a brake pad book.most catalogues have a section with a
picture or sketch of the pads.just put the old pad over the sketch & compare.hint.wash the pad so you don't get brake dust all over the book.i had a sunny panelvan with this style caliper & i had to do this to get the right pad.somebody else mentioned 180b just recently, but i can't remember in which post,so that might be a go starting point.as for springs,i know stanza springs are longer than 1200,with sunny half way in between.the last set of front springs i had made were 100 the pair, from liverpool springs here in sydney,so why not see about
getting some new,heavier springs.just tell the spring seller,heavy duty,1 inch shorter.this will
drop the car 2 inches (50 mm) from standard.
if you go to liverpool springs, look for the picture of the maroon 120y on the wall.it belonged to a friend of mine, the car is long gone, reshelled as a 1200 coupe.
