Re: what turbo A14 does to axels winters diffs are great you can also buy DMI ones that are the same just abit cheaper. we have 6 kicking around the race shop but they are all for sprintcars and have splined axles and are way to big hahaha. and always remember when you change the gearsets its upsidedown snowman otherwise you might take awhile to get up to speed hahaha

Re: what turbo A14 does to axels winters quick change diffs are the #OOPS#, stupid light, like less than 50kg or something, can handle about 550hp, order them to whatever width you want, can change the diff ratio in 2 minutes, you dont even have to jack the car off the ground and the whole things are shiny aluminum and anodised. i think they're about 3500, im getting one for my ute and will be buying it in the next 3-4 months, i can let you know prices etc when i find them?

They are the bomb, Im sure with the exchange rate prices will be good. Definitely keep us posted if you get it as youll be the first and it will beat all the other aftermarket stuff by a long shot. They can weigh under 30kg (26kg) without brakes!!!

Re: what turbo A14 does to axels Sorry didnt get back on this thread to answer your qs steveo
The winters quickchange is a pricey bit of gear for hot rods and speedway racing machines. Not affordable compared to a stock h190 which you can then get an alloy carrier from datsun 1500 utes and some early vanetter/e20/c20 vans.

Re: what turbo A14 does to axels Haha, you don't need a turbo A14 to do that. An A15 with extractors and 32/36 webber does that quite easily too. Welded diff survived through about 4 axles like that, a gearbox, 2 rear uni joints in the tail shaft, an alloy diff housing, crown and pinion and finally cracked the centre :)

Re: what turbo A14 does to axels Nice effort.
The splines don appear to show much wear. Is this after much abuse?

Re: what turbo A14 does to axels Steveo make sure you find a suitable lightweight replacement for the rear as the r31 is quite heavy. Looks like h190 with rare alloy cover is your only option with lsd but the final price might be worth considering a Winters quickchange.

Re: what turbo A14 does to axels This was broken after i wound up the boost to 18psi and took it for a run around the block didn't give it that much abuse but when it comes to boost they don't handle that much, I've broken 2 others before this one so something has to be done!
D- i read your other post and i'm interested to know what model of car the rare H190 LSD with alloy carrier and finned bits comes out of? whats a winters quickchange?
I'm looking at putting H190 out of a TRX bluebird, but to my knowledge they don't have a LSD option, or do they? if that falls through i'll probably settle on a H165 out of a bluebird.
How much is the Nismo LSD centre for H165? i've seen it in the random picture box.
