 Re: r31 struts
with all this talk of r31 struts i thought id go investigate the ones that i had

found out that they bolt onto stanza steering arms as you can see
but the r31 steering arm is alot like a bluebird one, much like the rest or the strut

if i could get to the bluebird struts i have i would take some measurements, but the calipers attatch the same way, bolts into the caliper rather than the strut like stanza
therefore the disc is offset a fair way out the same as bluebird
and from memory the bluebird struts have the same caliper bolt spacing of 90mm
also standard r31 discs are intergrated into the hub, will check one day if bluebird hubs fit on

they bolt up to the stanza steering arm, but you NEED to buy/fabricate a spacer with shear ring!

 Re: r31 struts
ive done a bit of swap around using R31 struts & brakes, and fitted 1200 perches top and bottom,

all bolts up good but not to sure what the ride be like though,

seems to be pretty hard to push down, but i dont have the motor in as yet,
woundering if 200B steering arm will fit to R31 strut and using 1200 lower balljoint any you fella's done anything like this

1200 ball joint has a smaller taper, except that of the late 1200 utes that already have the stanza sized front end

dont know why you would want to though

 Re: r31 struts
i was meaning running 1200 balljoints...not that id ever run r31 struts in a street 1200 anyway (i say that as i have r31 struts in the ute)

i'd get a set of bluebird struts and shorten them to suit r31 inserts and then bolt the r31 brakes on
that way you actually have negatice camber
