 Re: Flared guards
Were these pumped out or did you have the flares made up and then welded on.
I remember reading your previous thread about this but can't remember which way you went. The paint still looks really good if it is just pumped out.
Nice job, it looks very much like thats how it is meant to go.

I took it 2 a panel beater and got them 2 do it, it needed 2 be repainted, which was a bastard of a job matching the colour. i was very impressed with the results, with it been the guys first attempt at flaring guards. he did a top job, the back is all lipped up really tidy to. Im very happy over all, the front is getting lowered around 1.5inches 2morrow

yea there original guards. dont ya just hate when ya take the car/ute some where 2 get work done and something happens. first it was matching the paint, now 2 day with the suspension, the top has apparently threaded and they can get the nut back on, so more time 2 sit around waiting

Hey dude, nice job on those guards, do you know if they pumped them or made up a flared section and cut it in?

When the time comes im going to cut mine in because i dont like the way the style line gets distorted from the pumping.

That sucks about the nut on your susp dude, is that the nut on the top of the insert? This happened to me when i was bolting up my noltec tops, they'd been on a few different cars and i had to get new nuts made up.

 Re: Flared guards
the guards where pumped out, cutting and welding a new section was discussed but we wanted 2 try this way. I didnt get that back done as yet, due 2 funds and time, and also i havent had issues with them, but they will be on the list one day when i win lottery.

Yea the nut on the top and the actual thread was stuffed, so they had 2 get a whole new bit in. it was lowered about 35mm, which the guy said was the lowest i could go legally and with out having anymore issues. he also wrote me up a quote 4 steering compnents that he noticed and said i needed 1300 buckks worth of new bits and pieces, from rods 2 new steering box, lol, it never stops
