Re: small cooler you can always upgrade to the larger of the two. I have the larger one and as you can se in my avtar it is completely behind my grill and out of sight

Re: small cooler yes they have a good flow rate with not much pressure drop they are perfect for the a series as they will support more hp than the a serise will put out (well reliably any way)
