Its a 120Y notice the rear bumper. B210's would have the big "porch" on the back

can someone explain the difference between a 120Y and a B210, as far as i'm concerned a 120Y is simply a name for a B210, like B110's are called 1200, it doesnt make them a different car.

all 120Ys are B210s but not all B210s are 120Ys, right?

I think Bluemax means it's an Aussie (or Jap import) 120Y the ones in the US have the huge bumpers I think....

Big bumpers and bigger engine I believe. Didn't the 120Y come with an A12? And the B210 got an A14.

ok but what I'm getting at is they're all options on a B210 shell, its still a B210 regardless of engine/bumpers etc.

edit: looking at the pic one could not say what engine is in it or whether they are the original bumpers, but they could say the body number starts with "B210-xxx" and as such it is a B210...

yes?

 Re: Is this a B110?
Yes, they are all B210 -- Nissan chassis code B210 is stamped on the plate and body. This is for Model Year 1974-1978 (production years 1973-1978).

There is a difference between "B-210" (with a hyphen) and 120Y. B-210 was the marketing name for north america. 120Y was used in some countries, but only for A12-powered B210s. Some countries had A14 models with "140Y" badges.

YES a B210 is a 120Y the 120Y was sold in the states as a "B-210" and had/has huge front and rear bumpers...

apart from running an A14 rather than an A12 there are a few differences... indicators are in the grille and the licence plate sits between the taillights rather than under the bumper...

and because US B210's has A13/ orA14's they can't really be called "120Y's" can they... aparently the B211 (mildly facelifted B210) - akin to out late sedans) had A14's too!

then theres the PB210, but that's a totally different kettle of fish!

120Y was never sold in United States

* B210 sold in USA was badged "B210"
* B210 sold in Australia was badged "120Y"
* B210 sold in Japan was badged "Sunny"
* B210 sold in South Africa was badged "120Y" or "140Y" or "160Y" depending on engine

The car in the photo is a B210 with a South Africa badge
