It's a G180 Holley...

After a couple of hours playing with points, timing and plugs etc... I opened up the carb and found out why my car has been running crap.
Any one see why??
I get it fixed tomorrow...

it looks a bit fuzzy, but isn't the auxuliary venturi on the left suppose to have a break in it so the petrol can enter the airstream & get into the motor.

 Re: My Carby
The chokes are missing, which would cause it to run poor when cold.

This looks just like a Weber DGAV 32/36.

Apparently a 32/36 weber and a G180 Holley are the same thing...

Thats just what I have been told. I wouldn't have a clue.

Apparently the primary venturie (sp)(on the right) is broken off. If you look at it in real life it looks broken...
Currently getting fixed as I type...

Yeah, damn thing has never had chokes...
(Yay for Canberra Winters!)

In the US this carb is named the "Holley 5200". It came on the:

- 1970-1980 Pinto and Mustang 4-cyl and 2.8 V6

- 1979-1982 Ford Courier pickup 2-liter engine

- 1979-1982 Fairmont/Granada/Mustang/Capri/ 4-cyl.

Not 100% sure but I think I remember someone saying something about 4 cyl cortinas or something?

 Re: My Carby
yeah the 32/36 came on escorts and cortinas. mine has no choke and runs like a complete dog when cold but oh well. the 32/36 dgav is the same as a 180 holley i asked the local holley dealer in slacks creek ( adaptatune) is the name of the company the bloke seems to know his stuff. they also stock all jets to suit the 32/36

$53 dollars later, it is all fixed...
Runs heaps better than it was even before it broke off... Must have been leaking or something before it broke. Heaps cleaner now...
I think they also adjusted the mixtures and so on, so that would have helped too..
