ok well things have changed massivley and iv stripped the car back to detail everything.

car got sandblasted this morn and my painter should have it done my monday. i have also detailed all my suspension and steering components, painted the rocker cover and had speedflow braided line fittings welded to everything. hoping to have the car on the road by 1st of May.

also what do you guys think for an exhaust sytem, i have in mind a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust reasonably quiet with a good sized resonator....

i think you will find that the block and bottom ends are identical - besides that the turbo models you have a oil "squirter" on each cylinder where as the NA models only have 2 i think. the S13 in arguabley the best engine to modify simply because it is simpler, no variable cam timing which potentially could be another thing that could go bust. For my purpose of just having a all rounder with some good power the NA suits me perfect, 16 just turned 17 and got my license. i dont plan on pulling massive power from the engine otherwise id go turbo. the reason i went S14 is cause its actually easier to find the NA S14 models in wreckers rather than the S13's - and also for the variable cam timing, it produces a more consistent torque curve - rather than having a efficiency (spelling) range that the cams work well in. Also i got it at a good price and the mtor has 38,000 kms i couldnt have got a better front cut to work from.

yeah dude, so happy too have it in there. umm still abit of work to do hey. Radiator, exhaust, intake, drive shaft, weld up the tunnel, interior, and wheels. but its a matter of when i get cash. brakes are all done - four wheel discs, SR20T brakes on the fron, TRX bluebrird on rear. small things and a fair bit of money still to go. its come a long way though so im happy.
