Funny no body had anything to say on the subject or no guides were posted in the tech section - had a look but couldn't find anything on rust treatment - or do all of you have perfect rustfree datsuns

I hadn't though about that. Rust treatment is not specific to the Datsun 1200, you treat it the same way as any other car. So look for rust treatment guides on the internet.

I've started a to new article for our wiki: Rust. Feel free to add to it.

I'm with White Sedan, first big bump, or accidental kick might see some of that bog loosen (depending on how thick it is)

Way to much bog a new sill is in order. to much flex or bumps and it will spider web and let moisture back in for more rot. The roof should have been brazed/welded up then filled.

Like the guy I bought my ute from
