Turbo manifold welded up

Finished welding the manifold. I welded it with a CO2 Mig. Was my first time using the machine, and after finishing we found out the argon wasn't set properly, that's why it looks like bird poop on a statue.
Luckily the runs are vey thick, so I'll be able to smoothen them with a grinder and flapwheel. It should look better then.
Took me the better part of an hour to get the hole cut out on the side of the collector for the waste gate. It fits perfectly between the head and turbo. I'll just have to add some heat shielding between it and the turbo, otherwise it's going to have a hard life.
Manifold should flow nicely, runners more or less the same length, and no funny bends or angles. |
