hey guys can you tell me what type of car this is. My thoughts is that its a 1935 datsun Roadster. If you look at the www.datsunhistory.com website you will see a similar datsun 1935 roadster

Mystery car:

Datsun Type 12 has upright grille like the Mystery Car and similar bonnet louvers BUT had multi-curved fenders

Datsun Type 13

Datsun Type 14 went to a sloping grille similar to the 1933 Ford

Dotsun Type 10 has shorter wheelbase (front axle behind radiator)

Datsun Type 11 ditto

From its bacic overall style, I'm guessing that this is a car from about the 1923 to 1927 period.
It's probably a British car as he looks Aussie as does the background & the Brits had lots of makes of cars on the market here back then. From the shape of the rear section of the body, this would probably be called a 'boat-tail roadster'

There seems to be enough room for an A series, & maybe set of Watanabe's would do the trick, but that windscreen & top needs to come down a little.

Ive been looking at hot rods lately and trying to get my foot in the door ....'
It would be great to do a datun rod can someone tell me which datsun utes came with a full chasis ?
i think the car in the picture could do with a chop and lower the roof an inch or so .With a bit of reshapping the guards and have full running boards going ito the front guards .....
It could also do witha nissan engine conversion maybe a ca18 or sr 20 ....

It has to be an early Austin, the affordable brand for England was like datsun to Japan, small and practical
