They are rare and were die cast meaning many corroded to dust.

Definately the coolest of the SSS badges, and they are not die cast, they are actually chrome plated plastic.

Thats interesting I have one and it's a chalky die cast item....I wonder If I got ripped, I have had it for nearly 20 yrs now.

That is interesting as the one I got off a 411 SSS is definately plastic (but the SSS badges on the flanks were die cast and enamelled brass), maybe there were two kinds, I think I would rather have a die cast one than a plastic one.

The original 1200 badges were metal, but the new ones -- genuine Nissan items -- are plastic. I guess they are allowed to change materials over the years.
