One nice 120Y...that engine is a fast one.

What about the suspension and tires....any sway bars??? Need to put that power and transfer it where it belongs, the pavement.

A proven 120Y wheel package ( tried it myself) 13X8 wheels, 215 50 13 tires, lowered.....and with that motor.....the competition will run away scared......in panic....

 Re: Tyrie
suspension... king springs with 180B shocks up front, stock springs and commodore shocks at the back (tramps like hell)
Its got a uprated swaybar (cant remember how big) at the front, no rear swaybar.

Smallest wheels I can run are 14" to clear 250x20mm vented rotors and soon to be 4pot cruiser calipers front and standard r31 skyline rear disks/calipers.

I still have to replace a few steering components but it turns and stops adequately for a street car. Also has custom tierods, and extended thread on castor rods to allow more castor. I have adjustable strut tops to go in and the crossmember is also drilled to allow even more neg camber.

 Re: Tyrie
I see , 13's will not fit because of the upgraded brake calipers.
I remember when lowering my 120Y that 185/60/14 tires on 14X7 would rub the inner wheel well in the front when steering all the way as in parking.
50 series or even 45's if available down under would be nice. You got yourself a nice car....if lowering it more, 50 series will be helpfull. Too bad the 13's wont fit anymore....13's make a 120Y look mean.

I've got the front wheels pulled foreward a bit more and thats not a problem, although its got ####-all steering lock now lol

I cant lower it more because the collectors on the headers are under the car and hang very low, I already squashed them on a nasty speedhump

 Re: Tyrie
ouch.....that hurts...header against a speedbump...yes...I know the expression...

Have you thought about contriving a new header collector??? that would allow you to lower it and will be safer too , for car and for ego.

You have no problem lowering the rear.... The front has the collector problem....after that nice and expert 4agez motor I am sure you can work the collector problem out... I understand..easier said than done.....but it will be worth it.

 Re: Tyrie
I didnt put the 4agze in, thats how I bought it. And yeah I've considered getting the headers remade but it would be expensive, I just avoid speedhumps

Rear could be lower, but right now I've got more important things to do to it, like getting it engineered

interior isnt that flash... just a fixed-back drivers seat and chopped up dash.
