These mechanical injection units use a slide throttle setup. It's a plate with four holes in it & it slides either forward, or back [I forget which] so that when fully open the holes in the plate line up fully with the intake trumpet & the manifold.
No obstruction whatsoever, not even a throttle shaft, & one was sold recently on eBay. It went to Portugal I believe & these were a Nissan/Datsun factory 'supplied' part.

Hmmm... the spark leads are very thin too. I wonder if there are dual ignition systems feeding each spark plug? Maybe a coil for low RPM and a Magneto for high RPM?

Yes, I heard they the mechanical injection was Nissan "works" parts (not really the factory, so to speak).

My sources inform me that this "works" setup was used in conjunction with BMW Kugelfischer Mechanical Fuel Injection. typically found in the old BMW 2002Ti cars.
I was so temped to have a decent bid on the unit that was sold on Ebay a few months back. Oh well another one may turn some day [I doubt it though]
