Cool. A RWD Datsun beating the crap out of a pichi Honda FWD.
FWD sucks!! The only FWD car I would have is a Datsun F10, that would be cool, History in the making ( first ones FWD) and also that would be the only FWD with class.
Hondas.......

Confuscious say: The Honda is for the one who doth fear the power and driveability of the rear wheel drive...

Therefore: Do not honda when you wanna be-a-gone-da

Every brand has its top of the line vehicles, the S2000 is a awesome car, but the Honda in question is one of those wannabie pichi Honda FWD.

It is endemic to pichi Honda drivers to have air in the brain. I have been engaged in conversation with several that attest to the ludicrous idea that FWD is the performance way to go just because it is manufactured........ ....RWD is an old concept... I just laugh... its funny to find people that think that a chihuahua dog can go after a Tazmanian Devil.....

They actually state that FWD has the best performance? Then I guess Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Jaguar, Mercedes, and BMW are "wrong" for not using FWD. Although for their cheapest cars, Mercedes and BMW do make FWD cars.

In the USA, the recent trend has been to re-engineer all the top-of-the line cars back to RWD...Back circa 1998 the only "American" cars to have RWD were performance cars (namely: Mustang & Corvette/XLR) and old sedan designs (namely: Ford Crown Victoria and Town Car). Neither Chrysler nor GM had any RWD sedans...but now we've got the Chryslers 300C, Daytona), Cadillacs (CTS, their performance sedan), Ford (Town Car), etc. Only Chevrolet hasn't made the move yet... although their highest-performance car has always been RWD (Corvette). Chevy packed a small-block V8 into their latest Impala, but reviews indicate its handling and steering are not up to par with its RWD rivals.

Yes, I have engaged some guys in engine conversation, and several of them , from what I can see as plain ignorance, state that FWD is the way to go, and that FWD is top performance. I guess too many uneducated automobilistically speaking younger guys grow up under the hype of Honda cars. Honda has been succesfull in pushing their cars forward into younger generations because there is extensive aftermarket support and factory teams involved. Also, these cars are the less expensive and reacheable to many.
All the top vehicles of every brand ( every respectable brands) are RWD. If you want to improve your chances, AWD like Subarus and Audis would be the move, but RWD is more than enough. FWD was developed in the early 80's as a cheap alternative with the manufacturer's point of view in mind. No differentials, no rear ends, etc, everything is self contained in the front. Easier from a manufacturers stand point to put together.

But, yes, talk to some hard core Honda guys, it is pathetic.
