These are all genuine Datsun models: 120Y, 130Y, 140Y and 150Y. They were used in some Asia-Pacific areas.

i think the 120y never used the "130y and 150y" badges.

I think this was used in the b310.

correct me if im wrong

 Re: 140y
Well of course: a 120Y is not a 130Y or 150Y.

"120Y" is simply the marketing name for a B210 or B310 with A12 engine. This name "120Y" was only used in some countries (markets). In other markets the same car was called "Sunny".

Another way to look at it: The same B210 with A14 was called Sunny, 140Y or B-210, depending on where it was sold.

The same B310 with A14 was called Sunny, 210, or 140Y.

If you would like more details, see:

 Re: 140y
Nice pix Dgonzal.
I was reading the Wiki. The Datsun Violet , also known as 140J ( w the L14 ) and 160J ( with the L16 ) and the 710 ( L18 and L20B ) did have independent rear suspension ( IRS) in the SSS model. That car did not come to the US , but was available in UK and Japan , and I am sure in other countries and for sure in Africa.
I read in another place that the 180B was produced in Australia, reason why Nissan did not introduce it in Australia.

About the 150Y... I saw an article about a European ( if I can remember ) 150Y that had the B210/120Y body.

I will search.

edit:
Came back from researching. The car I believed was a 150Y is a 120Y with a A15 engine, hence the owner calls it a 150Y and shows the badges.
I think I have seen B210 bodies with 150Y badges......if I find one again I will post it.

Hi Jamie, I didn't know about the 710 with IRS. Feel free to click "edit" and update the Wiki with the new information.

yeah I know about that alledged B210 "150Y". I think it was an aussie. He states it started out as a "120Y" but he added the A15 to it.

Here's some more on the Sunny PB110 with LZ14 Nissan "Works" engine: PB110 Racing

I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I'd call a 12-cylinder Datsun a "Wiki Wiki"...

Yes, that is the one Dgonz..a red 120Y with `150Y badges.

I will add some info ( IRS 710) , but I will research the exact facts, about models and nations. I will let you now when I get it.

About the LZ engines, it is an incredibly powerfull engine created by using the lower end of a L series and a special twin cam head.

Check this out, Dat rat.....

Sounds about right to me. Surely Ferral would know for sure.
An LZ16 in this car would be an absolute weapon.

That 140Y looks mean. I have seen Datsun emblems that say 150Y. Officially there has been several "Y" Datsuns if I am not wrong right?

Good thing the site is in Spanish. Here's my poor attempt at translation:Quote:
Francisco Fino presented a new Datsun 140Y, of Team RC, that had limited results until breaking the differential

I keep tellin' them the H145 can't handle a 1400cc engine...

Quote:
This car came from England, where it had been tested by Chris Sclater and by Harry Kalstrom, for technical trials of Entreposto. The engine had 1595cc, with twin camshafts and 4 valves for cylinder, being capable to reduce 170cv (?) for total weight of 900kg. In the test, Fino would finish using their old 1200 Coupe, ... [something].
