Craig said "make me an offer". i can go up to his shed and take some detailed pics if anyones interested. i heard from a mates dad who worked for datsun in the early 70s these were given to the executives of the dealerships.

I drove a green one of these for a week during the last week of September 1974 when I was in Fiji. The rental company was supposed to provide a new 120Y, but the 1200 showed up instead.
I fell for the two door as soon as I got in it, but it still isn't a KB10 you know.

C,mon Ddgonzal, how about "Datsun 1200, the next generation", or "Datsun 1200, the future has arrived" [or ,... the future is here.]
How can we have a product promo war if there is only one side.

This two door giveaway thing must have been pretty restricted as my stepfather was a Datsun Dealer in the Sydney Metro area during the 1000 to 120Y period & he never got one.

C'mon blokes 'n' guys, Ddgonzal needs a little help here to lift things out of the ordinary. Surely the 1200 has SOMETHING going for it apart from being a parts source for 1000's.

Datsun 1200, 11.2 cubic inches more, makes for a more pleasurable experience for lady passengers.

Datsun 1200, when 20 second quarter mile passes just aren't fast enough anymore...
