You are lucky. I wish I could find one like that ,looks good, and for that price, you got it made! I was close to get myself a sedan 2 door, the car was in good shape ,I was told, but it was very far away, like 6 hours away driving, and it had,...(told upon mentioning my plans to take a bus trip to pick it up as to return driving my new adquisition,1200 sedan) ...a broken rear wheel bearing. I have no way of bringing it home,so my deal went kaput!
All this cars that I like are all around like stones at the beach in Australia,I must be living in the wrong side of the world!
Nice car Will.
Have fun

I certainly got a bargin, I was talking to my mates mum and she was telling me that her daughter didn't want to be seen in the Datsun so she was trading it in on a boring Toyota Corolla. I asked her what she was getting for it and she said NZ$300, immediatiely I offered the same, having never driven it but having always been a fan.
This is 2 days before I was about to leave home for the first time and drive 550 miles to my uni. When I picked it up I was amazed at how well it drove. With it I got a spare fan belt, radiator hose and 4 litres of oil. All never having been used. It even has the original spare wheel (cross-ply) and jack.
It has had 7 owners when it was new it had two owners on the same day and a couple of months later it had three owners also on the same day!
Then the owner that has had it for the bulk of the time it has been around bought it and kept it for 25 years. My mates mum bought it off the old guy after he failed his 80 year old driving test. She has had it for a couple of years
Now me. When I bought it on the 13 Feb 02 it had 114,000 miles on the clock now it has 122,000.
I don't know if the old guy would be all that impressed with how it looks now, but he was as fastidious as me when it comes to maitenance. I have a log book of every oil change at 3000 mile intervals, He had done more than 30 in the time he had had it.
I still have the original handbook which I will scan on once I get access to a high reslolution scanner.
Some guys harass me about the time I spend on the 1200 but. In no car costing so little could I pull so many chicks!
