looks like mine but i have the rear 1/4 panels on n just had it soda blasted m just taking a break form grinding off any excess surface rust off to type this message...

did u pay any money up front tho man??

plus mine isnt a big workshop.. he does more like private jobs then crash repairs

nah i didnt... my quote was 5k but i had only a few dents an a bit o rust in mine.

What does every one recon about getting one of thoes eletric rust protectors after getting a car sprayed??/

it would be waste of money man...

if u fix all the rust when u restore it.. u shouldnt have rust in ya car for atleast another 20 or more yrs..

so wats the point spending more money..

if u dont mind me askin. how much was it. for 3months woulda clocked up a nice amount

its costing me 7grand.. but i said u can take ya time to do it.. if they rush ur gonna get a worse job.. so i let them have it for 3months to do a WICKED job..

that includes rust removed on car.. inside /out paint job, sandblasted so its bare metal job, then panels all weld on, new nuts and bolts for everywhere, nylon brushs and that for the steering compents..

while its there i can buy the last cpl items i need..

eg: steering wheel, rooflining and dash recovered..

got every other part..


im glad everyone likes the job im putting into the datto..

wat can i say.. i have wanted a datto ute since 8yrs old.. now im nearly 20 lol

ill take sum pics of my digital camera, also im giving him a cheap throw away camera so he can take pics every step through the car when he welds,primes, paints...

he thought it was a great idea so yeh..
