From nissan parts dept. mate, it was $36 for the gasket. They might ask which model the L20 come from to help find the p/no.

There pretty helpful at the UnleyRd. nissan.

Do you guys over down under and more under in the NZ side get the Payen range of gaskets? Or do you have a better alternative? I'm a firm believer in Payen. Also we normally spray the gasket with a light coat of mirror chrome aerosol paint, let it dry and then give it another thin coat of the same. We then fit it before the second coat is completely dry. Have never had a blown gasket, yet, but I'm sure this new turbo thing will change all that...

I dont think so, I have payen ones for my toyota I got from ebay. We do have good brands here, i think Monotorque gaskets are good.

I used aluminium spray with the genuine nissan gasket, been sweet since, although I havent exactly driven it a lot.

Nissan still have bits that you need suprissingly. And then again they don't in the case of my strut top covers

That kind is the only kind of gasket I've ever had trouble with.

I've seen Payen brand here in USA, it is not famous but is a Japan-made gasket, yes?

I thought that Payen was Aussie made.

Looks like Federal-Mogul has bought up Payen, Ferodo and many other brands. wikipedia.org - Federal-Mogul.

I quick search shows that many car clubs and mechanics recommend Payen head gaskets.
