* large oval ports to go up as high as the top of the manifold bolt holes (A14 heads have oval ports, but they don't go up that high) * Large twin coolant holes below the intake port (A14 heads have small holes)
Au contraire. The GX engine came with the dual Hitachi's that wa all know & love, & the manifold was water heated. This meant that there was a fitting & a coolant hose at the front of the manifold that allowed the coolant to pass into the water pump intake pipe. This is the large pipe at the front of the engine that has the lower radiator hose on it.
The 1200 pipe was plain, with no additional fittings, but the GX pipe had a single fitting that pointed sort-of upwards to receive this hose from the manifold.
