A shot of the back surface of the race head showing the raised inlet port humps that do not occur on any other casting I have seen. Something to keep an eye out for at the dismantling yards/wreckers

Nobody seems to have noticed that the manifold bolt pattern has been changed from the oval port configuration to the round port setup.

This would have been done as per the factory race engine bullletin to enable the factory manifold for the Mikuni Solex N40-PHH carbs to be used. Bizzarre but it worked

My head has both bolt configurations too

But it was drilled with the 2 top bolts between inlet ports to fit my new twin weber manifold.

The head has no obvious casting numbers at all, only Nissan Japan on the surface under the rockers. I will check again for a cast H

I checked and it has no casting numbers at all???????????????
