 Re: 120y
just got this home today. I want to put front end, motor and gearbox in 1200 because of the disc brake front. motor is good and I need it in mine, the cross member is different to the 1200, does anyone know if there is anything else that will stop this from happening fairly easily?

Hi Datgirl, Sorry I can't help with your front end enquiry . However I'd be interested in the remains of your 120y after you have finished. Cheers

you don't need the 120Y crossmember in there, just the struts from memory.

the engine should just slot in. if it doesn't use the passenger side mount that bolts to your current engine block and put it on the new block, and she should be sweet.

 Re: 120y
You'll find that the newer 120Y engine wont line up on the mounts of the 1200 crossmember.

A little mucking around, well detailed in this article.

Good luck!
