Rather nice if you have deep pockets.

It went for 56,500 Yen. That's $474 US or $588 Au
I bailed out at 53,500 Yen. [approx] I don't know what some of these people are prepared to pay, but it sure as hell is a lot more than I can afford.
Of course, Aussie or US buyers would be up for agents commissions & fees etc. plus shipping & handling, so that winning bid could easily turn into something much closer to $750 Au

At this kind of money, you could afford to buy one of the polished covers from Morris Minor World at $330, ... PLUS an unpolished one at $220, .... & STILL HAVE ENOUGH CHANGE to drive your small Datsun up & back from Melbourne to Sydney to take delivery personally.

Alternately, could buy two polished ones or three unpolished ones & STILL have change for mailing them.

Anyone have any info on this? Is it a BMC cover modded to fit the A-series, or is it a proper A-series rocker cover?

It's the real deal. Tomei is the premier A-series tuner and has been racing A-engines for 35-40 years.
